Brian's Winter is about a thirteen year old boy named Brian Robeson who is desperately trying to survive. Winter is around he corner and Brian isn't prepared at all. He must learn to adapt and learn in order to survive the deadly winter.During his journey to survive the winter, he learns new things like making leather clothing, learns about science when he found mice cities under the snow and makes friends, animal and human like Betty the skunk, wolves or David Smallhorn and his family who rescued him.

The Climax in this story is when Brian got himself upgraded weapons;a war bow and a lance. These weapons are the climax because when the moose attacked Brian, his war bow weakened the moose and the lance finished him off.
The beginning in this story is when Brian noticed fall was coming. When Brian met the bear, he was rummaging through his pot because the bear smelled food. Brian kicked the bear and the bear attacked. Brian laid down and the bear continued to rummage the camp then left. This is when Brian realized he needed better protection.
The middle in this story is when Brian was surviving the harsh Canadian winter. He made a few animal friends and got himself a weapons upgrade like making a war bow and a lance. These weapons helped him survive better by killing more stronger animals to survive.
The end in this story is when he was hunting and by some miracle he found a hunter and his family living on a island by the frozen lake. They have a supply plane that comes every few weeks. Brian enjoyed living with the Smallhorns while he waited for the plane and when the plane came, Brian didn't want to leave. But in the end, Brian was rescued.
